Re: fuel tanks

Olman Search "petrol tank" there is a thread about fitting a saloon tank to the LCV chassis. The tank needed to be modified. I assume the Traveler tank is the same, seems like a catalog or parts manual search would confirm. My pickup had a saloon tank connected to th filler pipe with a length of rad...

Re: Question

I don't use facebook, I figured it was the social lockdown I've been hearing about over there and to some extent over here. Car show gatherings are way down.

Re: Login

Brian, I can relate to the decrepitude. The head on crash that totaled MMPU last November has had lasting effects on my back. The Docs gave me exercises that are mostly done on the floor. Getting down and back up is challenging. The gyms have been closed down for six months because of the Kung flu, ...

Re: Login

Brian, I haven't owned a Moggy saloon in ages so I don't remember if there are any good attachment points at the ends of the car. I needed to replace floors in a Bug(frog) Eye Spite. I bolted three 2x6s ( or whatever that is in metric ) into an "H" shape frame like a bed headboard. They were about 6...

Re: Keep Calm & Carry On

Original paint or patinaed respray? Are you happy with the color? If it's mostly presentable and can be preserved I would. I was never happy with the paint on MMPU for the twenty years I had her. This was the year I was going to return it to the original grey or something close. That woman in the To...

Re: What goes here please?

two plates on my '59 Morris US spec pickup. Trying to attach picture. Hole spacing looks a bit off. The lower plate was the VIN. Upper a generic info. The truck is gone and this is not a very high res pic. Sorry. Maybe Austin and home market were different. BB Great to see some activity on the forum...

1967 Alfa van on BAT

Not sure if it's more Morris or Alfa. It's in California after all. https://bringatrailer.com/listing/alfa-twin-cam-powered-1967-morris-minor-van/ Looks like a lot of work went into the conversion. Seems like a leaky 4.55 diff defeats the advantage of the 2.0l twincam, twin Weber motor unless the fi...

Re: Minor pick-up tail gate.

ESM does show a large and small bumper block but it appears they only differ in how far they protrude from the hinge panel. They say the large goes with beehive lenses and the small with flat lenses. Makes sense.

Re: Minor pick-up tail gate.

While searching online parts catalogs awhile back it appeared there were two size bumpers. Van vs pickup? Model year differences? The gate on my now deceased pickup just touched the small bumpers but it was a little below horizontal. Chain stretch perhaps.
