Have you got a replacement NMP plate Keith ? I ask because there were a few being made.

Yes I got a stamped replacement thanks Les. The one on my 55 series 2 van is in much better condition....pictured...

Below is the cab fitted with new floors, sills etc...

It isn't obvious from the picture...I don't mig weld...I gas weld and sometimes spot weld... :geek:

That’s interesting I thought gas was not too good on thin metal, mainly due to distortion but looking at the picture there doesn’t appear to be any sign of it, in fact very neat.

Good gas welding of thin material is a dying art.....it is a really good method of welding, so adaptable...you just have to be mindful of prolonged heat which can cause distortion....just takes hours of practise lol...

Well, despite our best efforts the four of us have failed to revitalise this dying site, unfortunately the rest must be intoxicated with fb, and kicked this forum into touch. Getting things moving is like pulling teeth, :roll: Won’t be long before I call it a day.

You’re right Keith but the MMOC forum seems to keep the faith, granted it’s not just limited to commercials.
Still be nice to see your lcv progress Keith.
