Rebuild

Post by sean01597i »

I am planning my pick up restoration, to take place in the summer and am looking for advice on alternative engines. The plan it is have something that is reliable for every day use and it will be my only vehicle.
I will also be replacing all the fastenings, so need to buy a bucket of nuts and bolts. Does anyone know where I can buy them?

Have got an Alex Wills chassis to base the rebuild on and have stripped pick up down, engine came out today. need to find an unleaded converter in powys or herefordshire.
have found a titan motorsport inlet manifold on the engine and need to decide whether to keep it or go for normal - any opinions?
also looking for some better wheels.
and various panels if anyone has any for sale, a frame, inner wings etc.

Do you mean an unleaded cylinder head ? Regarding wheels, I’ve been looking for some lp 936 rims, I think they look rather nice. Similar to lp917 but with the offset on the outside.

I've stuck with the A series, but it depends what you require from it?

i will stick with the A series for now. it used to do 70 miles each way, when we used it for commuting 20 odd years ago.
