Temps hit the upper 60s this weekend. Tried to start MMPU Saturday but the battery was flat. Charged overnight and a squirt of ether got her rumbling Sunday. Drove her forward half a tire circumference to put the winter flat spots on top. They say rain tomorrow and we'll need quite a bit to wash the winter salt residue off the roads before I'll take her out.
Retired last week so I'm not tuned into the internet news anymore. How's the Brixet going over there?

a disaster for a country with a 1000years of trading with the world

was chuffed to bits to see my van "Garfield" in 'elastic band and stitchup'
otherwise known as " Classic van & pick-up"
we across the pond are just beginning to warm up
today was nice so out in the 4 door to the local village & bank
wish more people would use our 'runboard'
it is much easier to use and more private than 'facebook'
good to see you onboard
(sorry for the pun)!! BB
Warm Regards,
Brian.

Should have mentioned we had an around an inch (20 mm) of snow Friday night but early morning rain and a southerly breeze made it a memory by noon. It's odd to see you guys using metric while over here people call the inch (SAE) system English measurement. You're well ahead of me if Garfy is already roaming the roads. I'm rapidly closing on 70 (years not mph) so I guess I'm too old for Facebook. My wife uses it but it looks like so much trivia to me.

Sorry BB at 76 I still use feet and inches
MPH(miles per hour)
pounds and ounces
plus I am NOT a European I am
English.... and if that offends anyone..... tough!!
as we will soon be a minority race in our own Country
'God Save The Queen'
Warm Regards,

Hi , Great to see your van in Classic Van & Pick up mag Brian.... 8-) what a life this little van has had.

Spring for me is Tree Pollen hell with all the bloody mothers Day flowers to boot, the only good thing about Spring is ; its not Winter and Chocolate Easter Eggs and home made Hot cross Buns..... :P

Looks like MMPU is going to need a new battery. Flat again after sitting overnight. Fortunately Morris provided a handy lug wrench (spanner?)/ hand crank for such situations. Seems odd manually cranking over an engine in the 21st century but it still works.

Installed a $50 Walmart battery last night. It's been raining all day today so the road salt should finally be washed away when the weather turns dry again. Hope to get MMPU out for a shake down cruise in the next few days. No demister fitted and we all know how useful those tiny wipers are in the damp. I have a fence and shed to rebuild and trying to stuff lumber into the Golf isn't working too well. Hooray for spring.
