I haven't done a restoration yet. Bought MMPU the week after the Woodstock reunion in '99 in baskets. Loaded it into a 16' rental box truck and dumped it in my driveway. Most of the pics from the early days are on film, hard to scan.
I hated the paint but was anxious not to stall the project with a respray. Took almost five years as it was with working full time and going to college at night to put it back on the road. It runs well but the paint has gotten worse and there are a couple rust spots that need attention. It's not a show truck, it sees summer use hauling around stuff for car and home improvement projects. I retired in April and I'm hoping I'll get a round tuit, but round tuits have been pretty rare in my life.
Would like to thank all those on the forum for the help and advice. It's a very valuable resource.

ok I'm going to try attaching a pic of MMPU carrying compost from ten or twelve years ago. I think I emailed Russ a number of pics before I retired and still had access to a real pc and high speed connection. I'm fine with him sharing any of them that would add to the conversation.
Hey I'm willing, just technically limited by this little iPad. Again thanks to all for the help and encouragement from a lonely Yank far from the motherland. Wow! It's been twenty years next week that I dragged her home!

It worked! Let me try another. This was our GE 2009 company green and classic car show. No prizes awarded but I did win some car polish as a door prize. MMPU did attract quite a lot of attention. Talked with a Smart Car dealer and found that MM at 50years old was 100 pounds lighter and got the same gas mileage as the new Smart Car. Maybe technology hasn't advanced so much after all. Ok that's three from across the pond, back to you boys in GB.
