so,we now have "Rodney"
he is a one owner low mileage (hand over ears now please)!!

why do we need all those electronics, and what do they all do....please advise?

Well at least your new modern car is a useful beastie and not just a pretty car!! So enjoy those little comforts such new fangled electrics afford - heated heats, heated windows, automatic headlights, central locking, car alarms..... (I have yet to have a car with such things in myself!). Then later in the year enjoy the basic real motoring in one of the better motors you have!!

this is what I love about our little forum
we can have above banter without anyone taking it too seriously...... it is all lighthearted
and regarding electronics on 'Rodney'
like posting photo's I have a mental block....or...just mental?
I really want to post pic's of the 'mini fleet'
but I just do not understand how to do it,
you are right I am in crisis, but, much too late for "Mid Life"!!!!!!!!
I am alright reading the instructions but putting it into
practise is another thing,
give me spanners and I will try and fix anything
it is things I cannot see (ie: computer work)
that puzzle me so I leave well alone
so not ventured into playing with 'Rodders' electrics...………...help!!
got a good radio and disc player though.

pictures are often a pain to post on forums as each have different formats for attaching....this page is not so bad as you click on post reply and at the bottom is the Upload attachment inset....click on browse and you should link to your computer, browse you computer for tile/photo, click open, then when you return from your computer, click add the file. Here is a post of my cubby cover for instruments as a sample post...

We’d all like to see pictures of the ‘mini fleet’ Brian. When I wasn’t confident with computers ( still not too good!) A friend who works with them, told me to try things, saying you can’t do any harm by experimenting, I must admit I wasn’t sure about that, as I’ve had a few things go wrong but sometimes it’s the only way to learn.
Have you got pictures of your vehicles that you can view on your computer Brian?
If you have, after you type a message, scroll down to the bottom and click on the words ‘choose file’.
That will offer you, Take photo or video or
Photo library or
Click on Photo library. That will take you to the page where your photos are stored. Click on the one you wish to send, click done, wait for it to upload ( you can see when that’s done) Then click where it says ‘add the file’ followed by ‘place in line’. A load of figures will appear in the area where you have done your typing, which when you click ‘submit’ will become the photo you have chosen.
This is the procedure using my iPad. The device you use may have slight variations from what I have described but should be similar. Play around with it, and good luck. If I can do it, you can!
